Research into Alzheimer's Disease has found that it shares many of the same
causes as type 2 diabetes, including blood sugar imbalances and insulin resistance. This has led scientists to call it Diabetes of the Brain.Over 27 million people around the world are affected by this devastating disease, which is the most prevalent form of dementia. While Alzheimer’s typically affects people over the age of 65, early-onset Alzheimer’s can occur in younger people.
Alzheimer's Disease, or Brain Diabetes, can lead to symptoms such as:
+ Increased Memory Loss and Confusion
+ Inability to learn new things
+ Difficulty with language and problems with reading, writing, and working with numbers
+ Difficulty organizing thoughts and thinking logically
+ Shortened attention span
+ Problems coping with new situations
+ And other debilitating problems
