When eleven-year-old Elton gets the chance to ride with his beloved Uncle Harmon to Kentucky for the weekend, he jumps at the chance. What follows is a weekend of forming new bonds with distant relatives, as well as a chance to see a side of his uncle that he's never known. Set in the fictional towns of Reeder, Tennessee and Freyer, Kentucky, Seasonal Kinship is a story about broken family ties and the preserving power of memory.
